Harbor Springs and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore
On our way to meet Dan and Linda in Traverse City, we visited Harbor Springs, Michigan where Leo ran an Art Gallery for the summer of 1963. After meeting Dan and Linda in Traverse City, we visited Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. It is a U.S. National Lakeshore located along the northwest coast of the lower pennisula of Michigan. The park covers a 35 mile stretch of Lake Michigan's eastern coastline. The park was established primarily for its outstanding natural features, including forests, beaches, dune formations, and ancient glacial phenomena.
