Waiting out Earl in Baddeck, Nova Scotia on Bras d'Or Lake

While we were headed for the Cape Breton Highlands, we were forced to take a couple days off from our travel and hang out in Baddeck to wait out Hurricane Earl.  It turned out to be a great opportunity to enjoy a very nice resort, get some laundry done before we lost electricity and read a big chunk of The Girl Who Played with Fire by headlamp.

Bras d'Or Lake is a salt water lake about 62 miles long and 30 miles wide and stuck right in the middle of Cape Breton Island.
