Jan 10 -- Afternoon the first day

Every sidewalk is covered with someone selling something. we walked around a huge amulet market where people buy their good luck charms. After lunch we hopped another boat to ride the river and canals to downtown modern Bangkok. We went to the top of the tallest building to get a view of the entire 360 of the huge city. Then we walked to the sky rail as far as it went and then hopped a boat and did a lot of walking back to the old part of city.
